Job Description
The Lead Host/Maitr'D position at Mercy Me stands out due to its pivotal role as the first point of contact for our restaurant's guests. Our Hosts collaborate seamlessly as a team to oversee greetings, reservations, and communication with the entire staff. They ensure that any special requests are accommodated and that guests experience the highest level of hospitality while dining with us. This dynamic requires Hosts to possess an innate commitment to excellence and exceptional teamwork skills. Additionally, this role calls for a blend of advanced food and beverage knowledge and the ability to present our menu in an engaging manner when necessary. Achieving success in this role hinges on possessing strong skills, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding communication abilities.

Compensation

The Lead Host/Maitr'D in our team can expect to earn between $20 and $25 per hour, depending on the food & beverage knowledge along with past work experience in high rated restaurants. We're committed to providing all team members with consistent, higher-than-average industry standard resulting in better work envoriment

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize yourself with our menu, including current specials and South American cuisine in general. We'll provide all the information you need
  • Participate in peer-led food & beverage training to learn about cocktails, beer, wine, and coffee.
  • Be active on the floor, assisting with tasks like clearing and setting tables if needed
  • Collaborate with co workers to enhance the guest experience by helping with all aspects of service.
  • Manage your assigning server sections, ensuring every guest receives top-notch service.
  • Guide, mentor, and motivate your fellow service team members.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized, following sanitation and hygiene guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and other beverages.
  • Familiarity with classic cocktails & wine.
  • Previous experience in a highly-rated restaurant is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in presentation.
  • Strong organizational skills for multitasking.
  • Effective communication skills,Teamwork, humility, and collaboration.
  • Positive attitude with a problem-solving approach.
  • Self-motivated and self-aware.
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment.
  • Initiative and a sense of urgency.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($19.00 - $22.00) plus tips
