Utility Worker

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Primarily responsible for housekeeping and various manual labor duties throughout the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE.

• Ensure the warehouse dock and aisles are clean, safe, and an efficient work environment.

• Assist in loading of hand stacked containers.

• Assist forklift operators in double-stacking cargo on the warehouse floor.

• Ensure the parking lot is clean and free of trash and debris.

• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.

• Identify potential hazards and report to immediate supervisor.

• Report damaged material found while performing duties and submit damaged report to Supervisor.

• Ensure all cleaning supplies are at there proper cleaning station.

• Commit to OCS Blue & OSHEA Safety facility Standard.

• Perform any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment.

• Good math, language, and reading skills.

• Knowledge of proper PPE requirements

• Considerate and respectful to coworkers

• Able to follow instructions given for daily tasks.

• Preferred minimum 6-month FL experience.

• Attention to Detail.

• Works with a sense of urgency.

• Ability to be Flexible with the work schedule.

• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma/GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day

• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck

• Frequently lift up to 55 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and stand for long periods of time.

• Occasional climbing of ladders

• Use of basic warehouse equipment

• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
