The Role

Reporting to the F&B Manager, the Bartender will exceed the expectations of all customers in a multitude of tasks that include but are not limited to maintaining superior quality standards food and drink production, preparation, sanitation, safety, and expediency of lines.

The person in this position must have good communication skills, the ability to resolve conflict, and a thorough understanding of company policies. Furthermore, all team members must develop and maintain the company's culture, values, and reputation in the public eye, and with all staff, guests, vendors, and partners.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to our culture of excellence and strive to exceed our guest's expectations every day.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the food menu, wine list, floorplan, position numbers, and beverage program.
  • Be able to create each drink on the beverage menu as prescribed by our recipes.
  • Be able to prep all bar items per prep and batch guidelines.
  • Be able to navigate guests through the beverage menu and wine list, displaying a deep knowledge of our cocktails, beer, and wines by the glass.
  • Create and maintain all garnishes as prescribed by our standards.
  • Gain a complete understanding of our service standards in order to be present with our guests, having service become second nature.
  • Be approachable, knowledgeable, and confident, able to answer any guest questions.
  • Be adept and accurate at entering orders in the POS and processing payment.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure everyone is working cohesively during set-up, service and at closing.
  • Completes opening and closing side-work as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Experience Required

  • TABC Certification required or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 1 year of bartending experience
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly attitude
  • Must be comfortable handling cash and operating a POS system
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
