Part -Time Custodian ( 5hour daily M-F) Flexible Hours

Job Description:

• Perform all duties on the work schedule as assigned by supervisors in an effective and timely manner
• Assist co-workers as needed
• Inform the supervisor of needed supplies and equipment
• Keep assigned equipment in clean working order
• Respond to emergency cleanup such as spills; report needs for maintenance, repair, and safety issues
• Report safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to the supervisor; report and recommend the need for maintenance repairs to the supervisor; maintain security of buildings; report suspicious or unauthorized individuals on campus; report infractions of rules to the supervisor
• Be willing to obtain additional training in areas not familiar and as required by the position
• Perform duties consistent with the position as may be requested by teachers, Assistant Principals, and Principals

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• No previous work experience required, but preferred
• Ability to understand and communicate verbal and written instructions in the English language

Working Conditions:

• Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, bodily fluids, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
• Requires frequent intervals of considerable physical activity. Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and crouching
• Requires heavy physical work (more than 90% of the position); heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects required, must be able to perform without restrictions

Compensation: $15.03 an hour
