The Santa Rita Union School District (SRUSD), located in the heart of the Salinas Valley of Monterey County, and is comprised of approximately 3600 students from Pre-School through Eighth Grade. We are located in the heart of "Steinbeck Country" a region best known for its exceptional air quality and mild central coast climate and the hometown of Nobel Prize winning recipient, John Steinbeck. Summary of Responsibilities:

Maintains the physical plant and grounds to specified standards of

operational condition to provide students and staff with a clean, safe,

attractive, comfortable, and efficient learning environment.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED.

2. Ability to perform physically demanding work, such as moving furniture and equipment, grounds work.

3. Ability to learn quickly; to follow directions, both oral and written.

4. Ability to read instructions and directions in English.

5. Ability to stay on task, to develop and follow routine schedules without constant supervision.

6. Hold a valid California Driver's License.

7. Ability to work harmoniously and cooperatively with adults.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. One year of experience in custodial or maintenance work.

2. Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment and materials
