Description
Stewards will be responsible for collecting used dishes, plates, equipment and utensils, loading dish machine and stacking washed items appropriately. In addition, collecting garbage, sweeping, mopping and upkeep of the overall cleanliness of the facility inside and out
Key Responsibilities
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
- Load and unload dishwashing machine
- Assist with banquet plating and food running as applicable
- Wash specific items by name (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
- Store clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately and safely
- Remove garbage regularly
- Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor, walls, doors and handles
- Routine cleaning of cargo equipment (Speed Racks, Carts, Metro Racks)
- Communicate regularly and clearly with the Stewarding Manager as needed
- Cleaning and upkeep of the dumpster area and storage rooms
- Duties subject to change based on nature of business
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Positive attitude.
- Requires lifting from 25-50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in hot, humid environment and on your feet for 8-hour shifts (Meals and Breaks will be provided).
