Taylor County is seeking qualified applicants for Maintenance/Custodian.

Relocate and organize all janitorial supplies to the designated area at the LEC (priority until completed);

Relocate and organize all a/c filters to the designated area at the LEC (priority until completed);

Monitor cleaning supply inventory and submit orders to Administration as needed (bi-weekly or monthly);

Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in all building supply/custodian rooms;

Replace light bulbs in all buildings, floors and offices as needed (burned out or if flashing);

Keep light fixtures and enclosures free of bugs and debris;

Clean ceiling vents and keep high reach areas free of spiderwebs, bugs and dust;

Wipe and polish lobby and common area furniture;

Keep the building exterior clean: sidewalks, parking lots, flower beds, empty outdoor trash cans, empty cigarette containers;

Mop and vacuum assigned buildings;

Report all water leaks or deficiencies in need of repair to Maintenance Director IMMEDIATELY;

Replace a/c filters in all buildings and offices as scheduled;

Deliver copy paper and cleaning supplies to departments as requested;

Carry out heaving cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned;

Perform minor repairs as needed.

Salary: $39,416.96 annually + benefits

Benefits include: 100% county-paid employee medical and dental insurance, paid life and disability insurance, retirement, and paid vacation/sick time.
