SUMMARY
The Receptionist is responsible for answering and directing incoming calls, greeting visitors, and mail distribution. Provides general office support with a variety of front desk clerical activities and related tasks for Human Resources and general administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answers multi-line telephone and directs calls to appropriate department/individual
Greets visitors, issues badges, and provides safety briefing to visitors escorted beyond the Front Lobby
Maintains Front Desk Security File
Receives, sorts and distributes mail
Distributes, receives and prescreens employment applications
Responsible for employee badge generation and Front Desk electronic file maintenance
Monitors DSSA Inc. general fax number; promptly and accurately processes incoming transmissions
Responsible for placing office supply orders
Assists Human Resources and other departments with clerical support and special projects as needed
Regular and punctual attendance is required
Assist with HR Filing
Performs other related tasks as directed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent. The minimum required experience includes 2 - 5 years in an administrative role using a computer and answering a multi-line telephone system.
QUALIFICATIONS

The individual must be able to read and understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules and regulations associated with this position which are written in English. Complete accuracy in the performance of each of the essential duties of this required.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to read, comprehend and interpret policies, instructions and computer-generated reports.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to lighting and temperature as required for an office setting. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some standing and/or bending may be required. There is potential exposure to hazardous chemicals. The employee is exposed to the inherent dangers of the explosive materials used in DSSA Inc. manufacturing processes.

The employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position.
