We are looking to add ananized, friendly, skilled customer service staff member with 2 years+ barista experience to join our crew as a shift lead. Weekend availability is a must as the schedule may include weekend shifts. Training to start after August 7.
New Cascadia Traditional is a dedicated gluten-free bakery selling artisan breads and pastries, breakfast sandwiches and pizzas. We also have a full espresso (Push Pull) and tea bar and Pizza Nights on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays.
We are looking for a genuinely friendly, reliable, professional person who loves customer service to join our team for permanent, front of house/barista Shift Lead work. We are looking for someone with greatanizational skills and a great personality. Day shifts start as early as 7:15 am, and typically end at 2:45. Afternoon/Pizza night shifts may begin at 1:30 pm and end around 8:30 pm. If you cannot work weekend shifts, or do not have barista experience, please do not .
Base wage plus GENEROUS TIPS, generous employee discounts, supplemental insurance option and $50 safety shoe reimbursement program.
The qualified candidate will:
Have a minimum 2 years barista experience/front counter experience. Priority given to candidates with leadership experience!
mit to a consistent work schedule, with weekend availability
be physically and mentally able to perform the tasks of the job: demanding customer service, standing for long periods, loud noise level, carrying heavy dish tubs, etc.
be able to stand for the entire shift
use repetitive motions, such as working the espresso machine (wrist/hand motions)
provide friendly, efficient and professional customer service
learn about our gluten-free bakery items andmunicate effectively with customers
craft consistently delicious espresso drinks with ease
keep calm during busy times and have fun!
take initiative during slower times
experience leading a shift/team
be responsible for placing vendor orders/keeping pars at acceptable levels
assisting with light office duties
anize training of new staff as needed
provide a valid and current Oregon food handler's card and OLCC permit
