Job DetailsThe Goddess and Grocer catering kitchen is looking for experienced line cooks for day and night shifts. Located at 1036 N. Kilbourn, our commissary kitchen is a high volume, fast paced and fun environment with an amazing and dedicated staff. Come work with a great team and serve up delicious food! Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Review daily catering orders, store food and other wholesale order and prepare for production.
- Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering and cleaning proteins, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items following company recipes and quality standards with a sense of urgency.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Answer and report to the Chef on duty.
- Keep stations and all storage areas clean following sanitation requirements.
- Stock deliveries and inventory appropriately according to standards.
- Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industrys best practices
Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $20.00)
