Responsibilities:

  • Set up, adjust, and perform changeovers on automated packaging systems (cartoners, case packers, flow wrappers, labelers, palletizers)
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues
  • Interface with PLCs and HMIs; diagnose I/O faults and ensure accurate equipment function
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance; maintain accurate documentation
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and ladder logic diagrams
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on equipment upgrades and automation projects
  • Adhere to OSHA, GMP, and company safety and quality standards

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field?or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Minimum of 3 years working with automated packaging equipment in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms
  • Knowledge of servo motors, VFDs, sensors, encoders, and pneumatics
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen)
  • Bonus: Experience with industrial robotics (ABB, FANUC)
  • Solid mechanical troubleshooting experience (conveyors, gearboxes, drive systems)
