The Inn at Burklyn is a luxury family owned boutique inn in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. In addition to lodging, we offer a high-end restaurant, curated private dinners, weddings, retreats, and seasonal events. We're looking for a hands-on manager to lead our food & beverage operations and coordinate on-site events. Key Responsibilities:- Manage day-to-day restaurant operations (front-of-house and bar)
- Hire, train, and schedule FOH staff
- Oversee bar and beverage program (beer, wine, cocktails)
- Manage and respond to emails regarding events and restaurant
- Execution of event planning
- Liaise daily with kitchen staff and Innkeeper to maintain smooth service
- Manage OpenTable reservations and guest communication
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
- Communicate with guests, vendors, and event clients
- Track inventory and place orders as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in hospitality or event management (inns, restaurants, weddings, or resorts)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and occasional holidays
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and calm under pressure
- Experience with Think Reservations, OpenTable, and Heartland (Now Genius) POS systems
- Bartending or mixology background
- Wedding or group event planning experience
