This is an 11-month,school year position. This position does not work when school is closedduring winter break, spring break, and during the summer months.
The salary range reflectsthe 11-month work schedule. This is a part-time position, therefore thesalary range will be prorated to $17,496.00 - $26,784.00. GRADE SD 0007 LOCATION OF POSITION MSD, Frederick Campus, 101 Clarke Place, Frederick, MD 21705 Main Purpose of Job This position is responsible for dietary department set up for all meals, line preparation, dietary clean up, and documentation of product usage in accordance with prescribed procedures and applicable health and sanitation regulations and standards. POSITION DUTIES Prepares and sets upfood service lines and steam tables and serves food;
Serves measuredportions in accordance with portion control instructions;
Takes readings of foodtemperatures on serving lines;
Cleans and sanitizesutensils, dishes, pots, pans, appliances and work areas such as kitchen andcafeteria areas;
Prepares rawvegetables and fruits, beverages, sandwiches, salads and simple desserts;
Serves food atluncheons, conferences and other special events;
Receives, weighs,stores and inventories commodities and supplies;
Assists MSD Cooks withfood preparation;
May deliver food cartsto wards or other serving areas;
May drive food deliverytrucks;
May operate cashregisters in a cafeteria;
Performs other relatedduties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education : None.
Experience : None. DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Must be willing to learn American Sign Language. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operators license valid in the State of Maryland.
