Job Description:
The Heavy-Duty Cleaner will support the Back of the House (BOH) by maintaining the cleanliness of the dish room.
Job Requirements:
Ensure the cleanliness of all cooking equipment, floors and walls.
Washing of dishes, glassware, silverware and other operating supplies.
Oversee the disposal of trash and garbage.
Assure that restaurants are properly supplied with dishes, glasses and silverware.
Washing of all heavy pots, pans, and cooking utensils, dusting, sweeping, and mopping various kitchen areas.
Thorough knowledge of applicable company and departmental policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma and/or GED preferred
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or as a dishwasher is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
