Food Service Worker

Job Summary:We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Food Service Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, and provide excellent customer service. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:Perform prep work including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.Weigh and measure designated ingredients accurately for recipes.Transport pans, kettles, and trays of food between workstations, stoves, and refrigeration units safely.Receive and store groceries upon delivery, including proper labeling, dating, and rotation.Lift and carry items weighing over 20 pounds.Stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) on concrete surfaces.Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils, and kitchen equipment.Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.Follow approved food recipes and production standards to ensure quality, proper temperature, and portion control.Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner; address and resolve concerns or relay to supervisor.Adhere to service standards, inventory controls, and cash handling procedures.Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety regulations.Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.ServeSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
