Have you ever pictured yourself working in a signature dining location at Walt Disney World? We are currently looking for Cook 1 Signature Dining Cast Members! We are seeking candidates who bring a passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn that will help you deliver not only Disney-quality meals but also quality Guest service! You will recreate Disney recipes and at times, alter recipes to meet certain Guest dietary restrictions. These Culinary Cast Members experience a world of options in our Hotels and Theme Parks, encompassing cuisines from around the world including Five-Diamond dining.

The pay rate for this role is $26.10 per hour.

Basic Qualifications :
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Conversational communication skills are required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent line cook experience; including grill and saute or a culinary certificate and 1 year of recent line cook experience; including grill and saute
  • Knowledge of variety of kitchen equipment, including wood/coal burning grills, broilers, dehydrators, sous vide, vector ovens, blast/recirculating chillers and cryovac
  • Proficiency in all stations of the line, including grill and saute, as well as proficient skills with knives, tools and kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of modern and classical cooking, including but not limited to saute, roasting, saucier, braising, and measurements
  • Knowledge of butchering experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines including temperature requirements and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) while understanding the science in cooking temperatures
  • Elevated plating techniques
  • Advanced product identification and seasonal availability
  • Stock and sauce refinement

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
