Job DetailsHey Kiddo is Id Est Hospitalitys newest concept, located in the Berkeley Neighborhood of Denver, and focused on good and fun! Our space offers three distinct concepts - each with a different vibe and experience. Hey Kiddo is a traditional restaurant that offers globally influenced cuisine, Ok Yeah an intimate 15-seat bar offering craft cocktails and hand rolls, and a rooftop patio bar set to debut in a few weeks. Our company is dedicated to zero-waste initiatives including house preservation and fermentation, and supporting local agriculture. We offer a true American menu with worldly influences, an exceptionally well-curated beverage program, and a variety of unique in-house dining and beverage experiences.
We are seeking a Lead Host with at least 2 years of prior hosting experience. The Lead Host will be responsible for managing reservations and daily floor plans, training new hosts, handling outward written and verbal communication with guests, and coordinating with chefs and managers to uphold our reservation policies while working to maximize guest count and profitability. We pursue team members with a dedicated work ethic and a warm, hospitable demeanor. Above all, we are looking for well-presented, positive individuals who want to be part of a fun, fast-paced work environment.
The ideal candidates fit the following criteria:
- Prior hosting experience, preferably in a concept that managed multiple dining areas
- Prior experience managing emails and phone calls in a guest-facing capacity
- Prior experience training employees
- Prior experience with OpenTable reservation software
- Possesses an understanding of hospitality etiquette
- Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills
- Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced environments
- Ability to understand and execute proper steps of service
- Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs
- Availability to work nights and weekends
Hey Kiddo offers:
- Competitive pay that includes hourly plus a tip share structure that includes all hourly employees; the lead host is estimated to earn $28-$32 per hour
