Job Details The team behind the successful, local concept Leaf & Grain is expanding and opening a new concept in the Memorial area. Murray's Pizza & Wine will be an upscale community restaurant featuring a focused wine and beverage list and a tight menu of innovative small plates & artisan pizzas. We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as the Chef de Cuisine.As Chef de Cuisine, you would manage the day-to-day operations of the culinary team.

Responsibilities would include:

• Directly managing most dinner services
• Recruiting and training culinary team members
• Scheduling and management of culinary labor cost
• Managing inventory and food costs
• Ensuring consistent, high-quality execution
• Working with corporate team to develop and implement standard operating procedures
• Attending weekly meetings with corporate team
• Running daily, pre-shift meetings with culinary team
• Collaborating closely with General Manager and service team
• Ensuring adherence to all regulations and rules
• Other tasks as necessary to ensure ongoing success of culinary operations

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates should have the following:

• Experience running kitchen operations including running service without higher-level supervision, scheduling, inventory / cost management, and enforcing safety & quality standards - 3 or more years in such a role strongly preferred
• Past work experience working with pizza
• Culinary degree preferred
• Able to work a minimum of 55 hours per week with necessary flexibility to manage and operate the restaurant
• Must be able to work standing and walking for extended periods
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Compensation
We are offering a highly competitive base salary of $80-100k+ for this position. Final salary range determined by past experience and fit for the role. There is potential to earn performance based bonuses as well. Paid time off and benefits also provided. Relocation bonus for exceptional out-of-town candidates available. Compensation Details
