Duties & Responsibilities
The dishwasher timely washes the restaurant's dishes and glassware, while maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area, receiving area, and waste removal area.
Maintains a positive, courteous disposition with a clean, professional image.
Ensures the three-compartment sink is properly set up: wash, rinse, and sanitize.
Ensures the dish machine is on and in proper working order (confirm that all dish chemicals are used in every wash cycle)
Maintains the trash area and helps sort between trash, recyclables, and compost.
Maintains the general cleanliness of the entire kitchen area and the employee restrooms and locker rooms.
Experience with food preparation preferred but not necessary.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
High School Diploma or GED graduate
ANSI accredited Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification or SERV Safe Food Handler Certification.
Ability to handle stress under pressure
Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks
Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant
Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing 0-50 pounds
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
