The Spa at Promontory Club is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Male Spa Attendant & Housekeeper to join our team full-time. This hybrid role is essential to ensuring the seamless operation of our luxury spa by offering thoughtful and knowledgeable guest service, maintaining pristine locker room and hydrotherapy facilities, and supporting housekeeping and laundry duties throughout the day. Shifts typically fall between 9:30am and 6:30pm.
This position is located in a mens locker room and requires regular presence while patrons are changing clothes and using shower facilities. Due to these essential job duties, being male is considered a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ) under applicable federal and Utah law to protect the privacy rights of our patrons. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and guide spa guests to the locker room to provide robes, sandals, and orientation.
- Offer friendly and knowledgeable instruction on spa amenities, including the steam room, sauna, infrared sauna, cold pool, and hot tub.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests with professionalism and discretion.
- Ensure daily area cleaning assignments are completed as scheduled.
- Follow each areas Standard Operating Procedures as outlined by the Spa Director and Facilities Housekeeping Manager.
- Maintain a welcoming, quiet, and clean environment in all spa spaces at all times.
- Perform regular housekeeping tasks in locker rooms and spa facilities: emptying trash, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, restocking supplies, and tidying areas.
- Manage daily laundry duties including collecting, washing, drying, folding, and restocking linens and robes.
- Ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards in all guest-facing and back-of-house areas.
- Report maintenance issues, broken equipment, or safety concerns.
- Work closely with spa leadership and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Complete daily checklists and uphold spa and housekeeping protocols as directed.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Spa Director or Facilities Housekeeping Manager.
- Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Must speak fluent English and possess clear, confident communication skills to assist guests and explain spa amenities.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 13 years of hospitality, spa, or housekeeping experience preferred.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to multitask in a high-end, fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and guest confidentiality.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs and occasionally move up to 75 lbs.
- Able to stand, bend, walk, and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Wages start at $19.00/hr and will be commensurate with experience upon employment.
