Pay Range: $20.76 - $23.58 / hour (based on union scale)

Work Schedule:

  • Sunday: 6:00am-2:30pm
  • Monday: 7:00am-3:30pm
  • Tuesday: 7:00am-3:30pm
  • Friday: 7:00am-3:30pm
  • Saturday: 6:00am-2:30pm

Summary

We are seeking a reliable and service-oriented Garage Attendant/Parking Valet to provide a welcoming experience for residents, staff, and visitors using our parking facilities. This role ensures smooth garage operations, maintains a safe and clean environment, and delivers exceptional customer service with every interaction.

What Youll Do

  • Meets incoming cars, greets drivers and passengers, and gives directions to drivers as necessary.
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles for residents, guests and staff, showing concern for their vehicles and using safe driving practices.
  • Issues valet tickets for vehicles belonging to guests, visitors, and employees. Ensures that all who park in the garage are charged accurately.
  • Invites guests and vendors to sign into the building in the appropriate place.
  • Assists with loading and unloading resident and guest vehicles. Provides assistance to the elevators if necessary and as requested by residents, guests, or the supervisor.
  • Maintains the daily garage report and the daily log of parked cars either electronically or by hand.
  • Directs traffic in the garage area and takes steps to avoid traffic jams or unsafe situations.
  • Cleans garage areas and ensures that they are clear of safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • Monitors staff parking levels.
  • Washes vehicles as assigned.
  • Maintains the security of the garage.

What Were Looking For

  • Education : High school diploma, GED or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience : At least 1 year of experience in a customer service position.
  • License : Must have a valid Washington State drivers license with a clean driving record, free of major moving violations or accidents. Experience driving both manual and automatic transmissions is preferred.
  • Technology Skills : Basic computer proficiency required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Personal Attributes : A passion for working with elders; Ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and build trust and rapport with residents, staff, and visitors.
