Part-Time School-Year Custodian

Hamilton Community Schools has an opening for a part-time school year custodian at Sandyview Learning Center and invites hardworking self-motivated individuals to apply for this position.

LOCATION: Sandyview Learning Center

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks
• Ability to perform physical work that may include the lifting/moving of 50+ lbs.
• Demonstrates dependability and promptness
• Contribute to a positive climate and culture by exhibiting high professional standards
• Provide a foundation for integrity, pride of accomplishment, self-discipline, and teamwork

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Perform all routine cleaning and basic maintenance for the school as prescribed by the custodial duty listing and schedules which includes but is not limited to:

• Removing trash
• Cleaning and disinfecting floors, windows, restrooms, etc.
• Event setups/cleanups
• Changing light bulbs
• Vacuuming and mopping floors
• Other duties as assigned

REPORTS TO: Custodial Supervisor

PAY RATE: $16.81/hour plus an additional $1.50/hour night premium

AVERAGE WORK WEEK: Monday - Friday from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM during school year. Summers are on a budgeted hours of 120 which can be accepted in full or turned down entirely. (7:00 AM start time summer)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
