Description
Nestled in the heart of Kentucky's Bluegrass region in Carrollton, General Butler State Resort Park combines the serenity of the countryside with easy access to city life. Our 53-room lodge boasts the Three Rivers Restaurant, and guests also enjoy 23 cottages, a 111-site campground, mini golf, a boat dock, scenic trails, the historic Butler-Turpin House, a conference center, and family-friendly playgrounds.
As Dining Room Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind exceptional dining experiences at Two Rivers Restaurant. You'll lead a dedicated team, collaborate on menus and special events, and ensure every guest leaves with a smile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations in the dining room and park event spaces
- Deliver outstanding guest service and uphold performance standards
- Recruit, train, and mentor a passionate service team
- Partner with chefs and park leadership on menu development and special events
- Monitor budgets, and manage staffing schedules
- Conduct team evaluations, performance appraisals, and ongoing development
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Foster clear communication across departments
- Hold and maintain a valid KY STAR (Server Training in Alcohol Regulations) certification
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Hands-on leader with food and beverage service experience
- Passion for delivering top-notch hospitality
- Self-starter who can achieve financial targets and maintain park standards
- Strong communicator who thrives in fast-paced and collaborative environments

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of food service experience in any of the following areas: full-service restaurant, state resort park, hospital, commercial dining room.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Food service experience in any of the following areas will substitute for the education on year for year basis: full service restaurant, state resort park, hospital, or commercial dining room.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Works in dining room setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
