Phoenix Country Club is pleased to announce an exciting career opportunity for a Building Maintenance Porter . We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented professional who thrives in a hospitality-focused environment and takes pride in maintaining a pristine and welcoming atmosphere for our members.

In this vital role, the Building Maintenance Porter will be responsible for the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and operational readiness of our club’s recreational amenities, including three distinct pools—a lap competition pool, a game pool, and a toddler pool—as well as our tennis courts and surrounding member-use areas.

This position plays a key role in delivering the exceptional experience our members expect by ensuring that all facilities are safe, clean, and beautifully maintained at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Pool Area Maintenance:

  • Remove pool tarps from all three pools first thing each morning.
  • Inspect and remove trash around the pool deck and Goldwater Grill areas.
  • Skim and vacuum pools to remove debris daily.
  • Perform daily deck washing to maintain cleanliness, including:
    • Goldwater Grill seating area
    • The toddler pool area
  • Wipe down all pool furniture (lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas) for cleanliness and presentation.
  • Monitor for unsafe or unsanitary conditions and report maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately.

Tennis Court Maintenance:

  • Blow off tennis courts daily to remove leaves, dirt, and buildup.
  • Ensure court accessories (nets, benches, umbrellas, and water coolers) are clean, functioning, and neatly arranged.
  • Remove all trash and debris from courts, walkways, and sitting areas.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of objects up to 50 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Benefits:

  • $18 - $20/hour
  • Hours: 4:30am – 12:30pm
