Cafeteria Worker, Part-time - 3 hours per day - 10:00 am to 1:00pm

The School Cafeteria Worker School is responsible for preparing and serving food to students at school. They are also tasked with cleaning and maintaining the cafeteria after it closes for the day. School cafeteria workers must adhere to strict health codes and standards when preparing and serving food. * Assist the Cook in preparing, cooking and serving school lunch according to the NSLP guidelines* Prepare lunch items according to recipes and menu* Assist with all aspects of serving students and staff * Perform cashiering duties* Assist with receiving and organizing of weekly deliveries* Assist with general kitchen duties including washing dishes, work stations, cooking equipment* Assist with receiving /organizing deliveries and also monthly inventory.* Perform any other duties assigned by the Cook / Food Service director

Job Requirements
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for an extended period of time. * Able to work in a fast paced environment* Must be dependable, team oriented, and have a positive attitude.* School cafeteria, restaurant or food preparation experience desired but not required.Physical Demands: Standing for long periods of time Reaching at or below shoulder level Kneeling/stooping Reaching overhead Lifting, pushing, pulling, and transporting up to 50 poundsAttendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job as they are directly related to the academic outcomes of students.
