General Definition:
- Escorts guests to assigned seating area as directed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Greets and escorts guests to their assigned seats as requested.
- Accommodates and/or communicates reasonable guest requests, needs, or complaints to dining room manager or Maitre'D.
- Assists and supports other staff members as needed (bussers, waitstaff, etc.).
- Assists Maitre'D or dining room manager in development of seating charts, helps to determine reservation lists and guest counts.
- Assists Maitre'D or dining room manager with assigning seats to guests as needed.
- Assists Maitre'D or dining room manager with room set up and organization.
- Dependability, good attendance, and occasional overtime required.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- No prior education needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Possess good organization skills.
- Basic math.
- Ability to communicate and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to interact positively with coworkers and management.
- Ability to prioritize time so that work is accomplished on a dependable basis; is reliable and committed to meeting schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, including being proactive and resourceful, working independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to win confidence and gain respect through consistent demonstrations of personal courtesy, tact and timely responsiveness.
Training:
- No prior experience or training required.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions
- Serve-safe certified (Food Handlers)
- Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission License (TABC)
