Job Title: General Maintenance Worker
Department: Physical Plant
Redlands Community College is seeking a dedicated General Maintenance Worker to perform essential building and grounds maintenance across all campuses, including Cougar Crossing. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits. General Maintenance Worker will report directly to the Director of the Physical Plant.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct general facilities maintenance and repairs
- Perform carpentry tasks using various tools and equipment
- Repair and replace plumbing and electrical fixtures
- Address drywall damage, painting, and surface finishing
- Maintain sprinkler systems
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests 24/7
- Ensure grounds are clean and orderly by mowing, trimming, and various seasonal tasks
- Assist with locksmith duties and HVAC maintenance
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding work orders and use computer systems for administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb and/or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception
- Ability to use computer to access e-mail, work tickets, and other work instructions
