Facility Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Hours: 40 Hrs a week min.

Operate Forklift, loading/unloading material from shipping trucks, distributing material to assigned locations throughout the facility yard, monitoring facility yard for cleanliness and organization, collecting trash and debris from all areas of facility yard and depositing in trash containers throughout the facility yard.

Candidate duties will also be for the monitoring, inspection (oil, water, hydraulic fluids) operation of these forklift units for regular maintenance(s) that would be performed by our Fleet department when necessary.

The units with which he will probably utilize the most often are similar to the 4000-6000lb pictured units attached, smaller telescoping type units. We do have the regular drivable non-telescoping forklifts, which this candidate may utilize on occasion, but I would expect this candidate will be predominantly be driving one of our units similar to the units pictured.

This candidate will primarily report to our Facilities Operations Manager and when necessary, to one of our senior Inventory Control Technicians when he is out of the office, they work very closely together, both contacts information are as follows below;

Minimum Requirements:

Must be able to pass pre-employment screening and physical that includes background and drug testing.

Must have a valid TX DL

Will need own Steel-Toed-Boots, Standard will provide all other PPE required for these duties.

Physical Requirements:

Indoor/Outdoor Requirements: Outdoor 95%

Must be able to move freely, including ability to stoop, crawl, and bend at the knees and waist. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. May be required to work long and unpredictable hours. Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.

Wage Rate:

Salary: $18.00 Per Hour (Beginning Wage)
