Job DetailsPosition Summary:
The Roxy Bar located in the Roxy Hotel is seeking a Server for the AM. The Server is the primary point of contact for guests within their station and play a vital role in setting the tone and pace of the overall dining experience. They must coordinate seamlessly with all positions in the restaurant to ensure smooth and elevated service. This role requires a deep understanding of food, beverage, and hospitality standards, along with the ability to guide and support surrounding team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly, engage in active listening, and make personalized food and beverage recommendations
- Provide detailed knowledge of all food, wine, cocktail, and allergy-related information
- Monitor tables throughout each stage of service and adjust accordingly
- Communicate clearly with hosts and management regarding table status, pacing, and guest needs
- Check identification to ensure guests meet legal age requirements for alcohol service
- Accurately process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized station and support team members throughout the shift
- Exhibit calm, solution-oriented thinking under pressure and during high-volume periods
- Uphold DOH standards and follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Protect guest confidentiality and handle all interactions with professionalism
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in high-volume and fine dining environments
- Flexibility
- In-depth knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and allergy-related protocols
- Strong multitasking skills and a sharp eye for detail
- Excellent communication and guest service abilities
- Ability to remain calm and poised under pressure
- TIPS certification required
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to:
- Compute basic arithmetic for billing accuracy
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Reach, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and carry multiple items at once
- Follow directions thoroughly and complete tasks independently
- Maintain team spirit and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced setting
Work Environment:
- Food & Beverage outlets and kitchen service areas

Compensation: Hourly ($11.00) plus tips
