Maryville is a Catholic non-profit skilled nursing facility located in Beaverton on the campus of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon. The facility is searching for a caring and reliable Dietary Aide Server.

The Dietary Aide Server provides assistance in all dietary functions as directed and instructed in accordance with established federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and procedures. As well as, work collaboratively on a healthcare foodservice team, assist in food preparation and will learn about special dietary needs of the Maryville residents.

Schedule: rotating shifts 10:30am - 6:30pm.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation, service and delivery of meals and snacks.
  • Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties including, but not limited to: work areas, tables, dishware, pots and pans, appliances, equipment, mats and floors.
  • Assist in dish and utensil washing and cleaning, including gathering soiled items from carts, tables, and dining areas and placing clean items in proper storage.
  • Assist in distributing meals to residents in accordance to diet and preferences.
  • Ensure proper storage of all food and drink according to food safety regulations.
  • Monitor and record equipment temperatures as required.
  • Perform daily tasks in accordance with established universal precautions and sanitary, safety, and infection control policies and procedure.
  • Assist in inventory and storing incoming foods, supplies and equipment as requested.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with all personnel to assure that for service is properly maintained.
  • Assist Dietary Manger to implement department changes as necessary.
  • May be assigned as a Dining Room server.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • The ability and willingness to take and follow directions.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to speak English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including, patience, empathy and compassion.
  • Ensure proper safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times.
  • Good collaboration and teamwork skills.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent .
  • Current Food Handler's card or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.


Physical requirements:
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods, walk long distances, bend, lift, grasp, fine hand coordination, and/or squat repeated many times in a signal shift.
  • Able to push and pull items.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. on occasion.

Successful completion of Background screenings are required for all campus employees.
