Looking for an experienced and talented Sous Chef who is ready to take the next step. Our steak-based restaurant has been in business for 16 years and has dozens of regular customers who come twice a week. Our French Chef is world class but is looking to cut back on his time in the restaurant. As the Sous /Assistant Chef you would be groomed to take over in 9 to 12 months if your aptitude and knowledge is commensurate with the restaurant. Classic American and French cooking. Looking for an individual who wants to grow and have greater independence than provided at chain or corporate places. Must have at least 7 years of experience, be able to calculate and maintain food and labor costs, be able to work Tuesday through Saturday from 11.am. to 9 p.m. (closed on Sundays) and be able to lead and teach other kitchen staff in a friendly and open manner.
