Were seeking an enthusiastic Barista/Server to join our team at Rhodos Coffee & Bistro and Hangar 31 Cafe. As a Barista, youll work at both locations, crafting exceptional coffee and beverages. At Rhodos, youll also serve as a Server, delivering our popular breakfast and lunch menu to guests in our steampunk-inspired bistro. If youre passionate about coffee, thrive in a friendly environment, and love connecting with the Comox community, wed love to meet you!Responsibilities: Barista (Rhodos & Hangar 31): Prepare and serve high-quality coffee (e.g., Coconutty Latte, Biscoff Caramel Latte) and beverages using our on-site roasted, organic beans. Maintain espresso machines and uphold cleanliness standards.
Server (Rhodos Only): Provide exceptional table service, including taking orders, serving dishes (e.g., Comox Eggs Benedict, candied bacon), and ensuring a positive guest experience in our bustling bistro.
Engage with customers to create a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere, as praised in reviews like the people were great (5/5 Google Review).
Follow FoodSafe protocols to ensure food safety and hygiene in all tasks, from beverage preparation to food service.
Adhere to Serving It Right guidelines when serving alcoholic beverages at Rhodos, ensuring responsible service.
Collaborate with a tight-knit team to maintain our high service standards.

Requirements: Experience as a barista or server preferred but not required; we provide training.
FoodSafe Level 1 certification required (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Serving It Right certification required for Rhodos (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Passion for coffee, food, and customer service.
Own transportation required to travel between Rhodos (Courtenay) and Hangar 31 Cafe (Comox).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, friendly atmosphere, delivering the exceptional service our guests love.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
