Job Overview: Clean Guest Rooms As Assigned, Ensuring the Hotel's Established Standards of Cleanliness. Responsible for Reporting Any Maintenance Deficiencies and Handling Guest Requests or Complaints. Ensures the Confidentiality and Security of All Guest Rooms.

Specifications: Requirements Are Representative of Minimum Levels of Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities. to Perform This Job Successfully, the Incumbent Will Possess the Abilities or Aptitudes to Perform Each Duty Proficiently.

Skills: Essential:

1) Ability to Perform Assigned Duties with Attention to Detail, Speed, Accuracy, Follow-through, Courtesy, Cooperativeness and Work with a Minimum of Supervision.

2) Ability to Exert Physical Effort in Being Able to Clean 16-18 Rooms per Shift.

Essential Job Functions:

1) Use Correct Cleaning Chemicals for Designated Surfaces, According to Osha Regulations and Hotel Requirements to Ensure All Chemicals Are Correctly Labeled.

2) Clean Guest Rooms by Category Priority.

3) Transport Cleaning Supplies, Amenities and Linens to Assigned Guest Room and Position Securely.

4) Service Assigned Guest Rooms.

5) Empty Trash Containers.

6) Remove Any Room Service Trays/Items from the Room to the Elevator Landing.

7) Remove All Dirty Terry and Replace with Clean Par to Designated Layout.

8) Remove Soil, Dirt, Soap Build-up and Hair from Bathroom Mirrors, Vanity, Sink, Toilet, Shower Walls, Shower Curtain, Hair Dryer and Floor.

9) Replace Facial, Toilet Tissue and Bathroom Amenities in Correct Amount and Location.

10) Remove Dirty Bed Linen and Make up Bed with Clean Linen.

11) Replace Laundry Bags and Slips.

12) Clean Closets and Door Tracks on Checkout Rooms, Removing Dust and Debris. Ensure Correct Amount and Placement of Hangers, Extra Blanket/Pillow and Luggage Racks. Make Sure Safe Is Unlocked, Check Iron and Ironing Board.

13) Dust and Polish All Furniture.

14) Realign Furniture to Floor Plan.

15) Open All Drawers/Doors in Checkout Rooms and Remove Items Left by Guest. Dust Inside.

16) Check Under Bed(S), Chairs and Sofa for Debris and Remove If Present.

17) Inspect Condition of All Furniture and Carpet for Tears, Rips or Stains: Report Any Damages to the Supervisor.

18) Remove/Vacuum All Dust, Debris and Foreign Particles from Upholstered Furniture Including Crevices and Under Cushions.

19) Dust Pictures, Frames and Mirrors.

20) Remove Dust and Debris on Television, Clock Radio, and Remote Control.

21) Set Correct Time on Clock.

22) Clean All Lamps and Light Switches; Check for Proper Working Order.

23) Remove Dust, Spots and Smears from Windows, Ledges and Frames.

24) Remove Dust, Grease and Smears from Telephones and Reposition Properly.

25) Empty Liquid from Ice Bucket and Wipe All Surfaces Dry.

26) Remove Water from Coffee Maker and Clean Thoroughly.

27) Remove Dust on Drapes Weekly and Realign to Correct Position Daily.

28) Inspect Condition of Amenities in Desk, Drawers and Guest Service Directory; Replace Designated Amounts at Proper Locations Within the Room.

29) Remove Dust, Dirt, Marks and Fingerprints from Entrance Door(S) and Clean Base of Door.

30) Ensure Presence of Fire Safety, Rate Cards and Dnd Sign. Inspect Condition and Replace As Needed.

31) Remove Dust, Dirt and Smudges from a/C Unit, Vents, Grids and Thermostat. Remove Dust, Stains and Marks from All Baseboards, Ledges and Corners.

32) Vacuum Carpet in Guest Room.

33) Spray Room with Deodorizer.

34) Update Status of Rooms Cleaned on Assignment Sheet.

35) Record No Service Requests and Do Not Disturb Rooms on Your Room Assignment List. Report Them to the Supervisors and Check Status of Sign Before You Leave Your Assigned Area.

36) Reorganize Cart and Stock at End of Shift.

37) Ensure Security of Any Assigned Guest Room Keys.

38) Handle Guest Complaints by Following the Instant Pacification Procedures and Ensuring Guest Satisfaction.

39) Record Guest Preferences on Preference Pad and Deliver to the Supervisor at the End of the Day.

40) Report Any Damages or Maintenance Problems to the Assistant Director or Supervisor with Oops Pads and Qiaf's.

41) Turn over Any Lost and Found Items from Guest Rooms to the Security at the Time They Are Found.

42) Successful Completion of the Training/Certification Process.

Secondary Functions:

1) Make up Cribs and Rollaway Beds.

2) Deep Clean One Room Daily (Based on Hotel Occupancy).

In Accordance with New Jersey State Legislature (New Jersey Legislature Bill S2310 Sca (1r)) Which Requires Private Employers with Ten (10) or More Employees to Include a Range of Pay for All Advertised Jobs, Promotion, or Transfer Opportunities. This Position Pays $15.49 - $16.50/Hour Dependent on Experience.
