What Youll Do
As a Server, you will be responsible for providing guests with friendly and efficient food and beverage service. In addition, youll:
- Provide positive dining experience by taking orders, delivering meals, fulfilling customer requests, refilling glasses and removing dishes at conclusion of courses
- Maintain knowledge on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations.
- Help customers in dining selection by suggesting dishes, explaining house specials and answering questions regarding food preparation and ingredients.
- Responsible for totaling charges, issuing checks, processing payments and issuing receipts.
- Properly skilled to suggest appropriate wines and other beverages to go along with customers meals.
- Prepare room for dining by setting tables and refilling condiments.
What it Takes
- Age requirement of 18+ required
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience,
- 6+ months of previous serving experience preferred
- Must be able to obtain TIPS Certification
- Ability to move equipment to and from the kitchen
- Excellent oral communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work non-standard hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
