Under the general direction of the Facilities and Maintenance Lead, the Custodian II will ensure the cleanliness, smooth operation and professional appearance of the ESD 112 facilities.
Salary:The hourly wage for this position is $20.22-$24.60. Offers are made at the entry level of the range.
Effective September 1, 2025, the new hourly range will be $20.73 - $25.22.Assignment:
This position will work full-time (8 hours per day, Monday-Friday), year-round. This is an evening swing shift position with a start time of 4:30 pm and a 30-mintue lunch break.
Location:The person is this position will primarly work out of the main campus located at 2500 NE 65th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98661. This is a multi-building complex with large spaces. In addition, we have a separate Transportation building located on 136th Avenue in Vancouver, WA 98684.

Essential Functions:
- Clean and maintain ESD 112 buildings and facilities.
- Inspect building, grounds, and equipment for safety and repairs; write repair work orders and make emergency repairs with approval from supervisor.
- Prepare, clean, and secure facilities for conference activities.
- Perform freight pick-ups and deliveries.
- Move furniture and other materials.

- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience as a custodian or related position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a custodian or related work that includes cleaning of commercial or public buildings.
Working Conditions:
- Commercial/business facility.
- Frequently standing, walking on carpet, asphalt, tile, cement, rubber mats, linoleum surfaces.
- Routinely crouching, kneeling, crawling, stooping, climbing, grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, bending, and climbing ladders.
- Work may require use of machines, tools and/or hazardous chemicals.
- Ability to move and lift up to 60lbs easily without injury to self or the equipment.
- Flexible work hours including evenings.
Employment Requirement:
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
