JOB SUMMARY: Answers inquiries and obtains information for general public, consumers, visitors and other interested parties. May assist with other general clerical duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Greets consumers and visitors, determines nature of business and directs them appropriately
  2. Answers, screens and directs incoming calls
  3. Maintains visitor log
  4. Provides callers with information about agency/program services
  5. Listens to and assists with resolving simple customer complaints
  6. Performs basic data entry/word processing, as required
  7. Transmits information or documents using computer, mail or fax machine
  8. Assists with other general clerical duties, as required

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Knowledge of principals of customer service; knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems; active listening skills; oral/written communication skills; service orientation skills; basic telephone skills; basic data entry skills; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Basic word processing and keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to pass skills test as applicable.
  • General working knowledge of office equipment.
Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Weekly Work Hours 35 Proposed Salary $30,0000 - $32,000/annually Schedule Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 4:00PM
