POSITION PURPOSE

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Groundskeeper/Day Porter to join our team at a luxury, high-rise, multi-family property in Boise, Idaho. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the property, working closely with and being an active team member of the property staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain the property, leasing office, and landscaping standards by inspecting property each morning, cleaning where needed and picking up any trash littering the grounds.

Keep lobby and mail room clean; pick up trash, sweep floors, wipe down surfaces.

Support the maintenance team in preparing apartments for new occupancy, including assisting with unit turnovers and ensuring vacant units are cleared of debris and trash, caulk, check appliances and smoke detectors, replace parts, etc.

Perform light painting duties as directed.

Clean pool area--hose down area, pick up trash, straighten chairs, etc.

Water common area plantings.

Assist the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician as requested.

Vacuum, mop, clean windows, remove trash, clean appliances and dust in all common areas.

Stock and maintain an inventory of all cleaning products.

Replace lightbulbs in common areas, as needed.

Keep the exterior of the community clean and free of debris.

Operate floor machine.

Assist in all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in groundskeeping or janitorial is preferred.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines.

May need to assist in after-hours emergencies when necessary.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb stairs on a regular basis.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to work weekends and share a rotating schedule for emergency calls.
