Maintenance Engineer
Job Description

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be working for a leader in industrial automation and control systems, committed to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to clients globally across various industries. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of all manufacturing equipment, building systems, and utilities through proactive maintenance planning, rapid troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role combines technical expertise with practical problem-solving to minimize downtime, extend asset life, and support safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and refine preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Conduct inspections and monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain and update equipment documentation and SOPs.
  • Quickly diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.
  • Lead or support repairs across production equipment and facilities.
  • Collaborate with the production and quality team to reduce recurring failures and improve equipment reliability.
  • Assist in the design, planning, and execution of facility and equipment upgrades or modifications.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend design changes or replacement strategies.
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and 5S programs.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • 3+ years of maintenance engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical panels, PLCs, HVAC, and hydraulics/pneumatics.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently or in a cross-functional team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in metal fabrication or industrial equipment manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or TPM methodologies.
  • Certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional.
  • Experience working with Trumpf equipment.
Work Environment

The role operates within an office environment, requiring meetings on the factory floor to collaborate with the manufacturing team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
