Housekeeper (M/F)

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented live-out housekeeper to join their household team located in Carnegie Hill, New York City. This full-time position is suited for a professional with experience working in affluent residences and is confident adhering to the high standards of cleanliness and home organization for our client's private family residence. The 4,000 sq ft luxurious residence is a classic Upper East Side townhouse and is home to two parents, their three children, ages 4, 8, 12, and their beloved family dog. The housekeeper will work in tandem with support from other household staff, including the children's nannies and additional housekeepers, to ensure the daily care and maintenance of the property. Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of the townhouse's interior spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining areas, and formal rooms. Care for luxury finishes, furnishings, and fabrics with the appropriate techniques (e.g., wood, marble, silver, fine linens). Handle laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care. Keep up with the stock of cleaning products. Assist with general tidiness and organization of children's rooms and communal spaces. Assist in preparing the home for weekly dinners, including light table setting and post-event cleanup. Provide light care for the family's dog, including feeding, brushing, and notifying staff for walks or vet appointments. Report maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate staff member. Requirements At least 5 years of private Housekeeping experience in luxury residences or high-standard environments with recommendations, Based in the United States with valid work authorization. Proven ability to maintain discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality. Excellent understanding of fine home care and luxury material maintenance. Organized, dependable, and able to work well within a team. Comfortable around children and pets. Able to follow instructions and proactively take initiative when needed. Good communication skills in English is preferred. Work conditions Location: New York City Position type: Full-time Schedule: Monday through Friday, flexibility may be required.
