Requires working knowledge of the operations of specially equipped buses. Requires working knowledge of the goals and objectives of the school bus drivers' training program, plus the methods and techniques of training and evaluation. Must have a complete understanding of State laws, rules, and regulations, and Education Code sections pertaining to school bus operations and pupil transportation. Must know how to apply first aid practices. Requires sufficient knowledge of and skill at using personal computers to access and use office productivity software and other resources to store and retrieve information. Requires sufficient human relations skills in order to teach conduct training, facilitate demonstrations and incident simulations, and maintain harmony with team members, parents, and students.

Requires valid Commercial Class A or B Driver's License with School Bus, Passenger, and Air Brake endorsements
Medical examination card
Valid California Special Driver Certificate
Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License
Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.
