GOOSE CREEK CISD JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Operations Services Clerk-Dispatcher-Receptionist FLSA: Non-exempt
REPORTS TO: Assist. Superintendent Operations Services PAY GRADE: PSS Days
DEPTSCHOOL: Operations Services DATE:
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Facilitate the efficient operation the Facilities Management Complex communications. This includes
tracking the location employees, dispatching service, and emergency calls within the district. Also assist in
managing the work order system and perform district utility data entry while managing department uniforms.
File department reports as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONCERTIFICATION
High school diploma or GED
Valid Texas Driver License and be insurable
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE SKILLS
Proficiency with current office technology, i.e., computer software and hardware, office equipment, and
telephone systems
Experience in using a computer-based work order system.
Familiar with accounting procedures associated with requisitions and purchase orders.
Excellent organizational, communicational, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, self-reliant, and dependable
Training and experience with work order procedures (i.e., processing work requests, assigning work orders,
entry and updates work orders, closeout and filing work orders)
Ability to work with others in a positive and helpful manner.
Ability to administer and manage both paper and computer files pertinent to purchasing and work orders.
Ability to manage, multitask and work in a high-pressure atmosphere.
Flexibility in adjusting work schedules to meet load demands.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
One or more years office-related experience
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
. Maintain work order system software and applicable database information.
. Prepare weekly and monthly reports as directed.
. Maintain and enter preventative work order and schedules.
. Maintain equipment and building records.
. Prepare weekly or monthly efficiency reports using work order system software.
. Dispatch personnel as required.
. Maintain and update work order requests in applicable software system.
. Maintain confidentiality information for the department.
. Perform receptionist responsibilities.
. Maintain departments uniforms.
. Perform all other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Occasional lifting required up to pounds; repetitive hand motion, stooping and bending.
Prolonged computer usage
