Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking an experienced industrial maintenance technician to perform repair and preventive maintenance on plant and facility machinery. This role requires expertise in production, manufacturing, and industrial settings, with the ability to perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs. Success in this position involves minimizing downtime and effective troubleshooting. Responsibilities Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs on plant machinery. Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently. Troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime. Utilize knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial maintenance. Engage in welding and plumbing tasks as required. Interpret schematics and maintain three-phase systems, bearing systems, and gearboxes. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical and mechanical repairs. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of preventive maintenance. Experience with welding and plumbing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with documentation processes using Excel and CMMS. Understanding of fire protection and mechanical bearing systems. Experience with motor control systems and equipment installation. Work Environment & Schedule Work in a steel manufacturing plant that supports various industries. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 3:30 PM to 2 AM, with some Saturdays required. Training will be provided on the day shift, and an additional $1.00 is offered for swing shift work.
