Barista** **Location:** Texas A&M University Campus, College Station, TX GREAT work opportunity for anyone looking for 30 - 40 hours per week. Shifts: 7a-3p or 3p-10p **Job Summary:** We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to create a positive atmosphere for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring a delightful experience for our patrons. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare and serve a variety of coffee-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to recipes and customer preferences. - Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and handling payments in a friendly manner. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas. - Educate customers about our menu offerings, including promotions and seasonal specials. - Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and restocking as necessary. - Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow during busy periods. - Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of food and beverage safety. - Engage with the campus community to foster a welcoming environment and encourage customer loyalty. **Qualifications:** - Prior experience in a coffee shop or food service environment preferred. MUST have Food Handlers Card - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. - Strong customer service orientation with a passion for delivering a positive customer experience. - Ability to operate coffee equipment and perform basic maintenance; training will be provided. - Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions. - Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. - Must be able to stand for extended periods
