Reporting to the Director of Properties, this dual-role position requires a highly skilled, reliable, and discreet individual who can manage both driving responsibilities and houseman duties, ensuring that the household runs efficiently, while maintaining the utmost level of service and discretion for the family and private household. Hard Skills: Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record Proficient in defensive and evasive driving techniques Strong knowledge of local security protocols, risk management, and emergency response procedures Ability to handle both security-related and household tasks with discretion and professionalism Familiarity with basic household maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting Handyman and jack of all trades Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in high-stress situations Defensive and evasive driving techniques Vehicle maintenance and management Event coordination support Confidentiality and discretion Job Duties and Tasks: Driving and Transportation: Safely drive family members and guests to various locations, maintaining confidentiality and security at all times. Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and ready for use, and manage minor repairs as necessary. Household Maintenance Support: Assist with light maintenance work, such as assisting the House Manager and Housekeeping staff with changing light bulbs, carrying packages, moving furniture, etc. Assist with deliveries and pickups. Guest Services and Event Support: Provide transportation and logistics for guests, including managing luggage, coordinating arrival/departure times, and ensuring guests' safety. Support event logistics by coordinating transportation, providing security during events, and ensuring the smooth operation of guest services. Character Sketch and Traits: Discreet and Trustworthy: Respects privacy, understands the importance of confidentiality, and exercises sound judgment. Humble and Service-Oriented: Genuinely values excellence in service without seeking recognition. Qualifications: Minimum 10+ years of experience in similar roles, particularly within private estates. Proven track record of working in a high-end household and with VIPs, demonstrating reliability, discretion, and professionalism. Experience in security driving, including defensive and evasive driving techniques, and handling emergency situations effectively. Clean driving record. Must be comfortable around children. Must have verifiable references and pass a background check contingent upon an offer of employment.
