Duties include cleaning buildings internally and externally; removing trash; and assisting with set-up of furniture for special events./pp/pp/ppbuSPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/u/b/pulliPerforms cleaning duties such as sweeping, cleaning of windows and light fixtures; mopping; vacuuming; emptying trash; wiping white boards; dusting and wiping desks, window sills, and baseboards; cleaning offices, hallways, stairwells, entrance areas, and public areas; also cleans and sanitizes restrooms and cafe areas; using a bucket truck to reach higher windows; and making minor repairs./liliScrubs, waxes, and buffs floors; cleans and shampoos carpets./liliuChecks and replenishes paper and supplies/ubu./u/b/liliMoves and rearranges furniture; sets up banquet tables; and cleans up after events./liliPicks up trash; delivers garbage bags to dumpsters./liliuAddresses work orders summited for repairs./u/liliProvides faculty, students, and visitors with directions regarding general campus and classroom locations or information./liliPromotes safe work environment./liliMay perform various projects./liliCompletes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned./li/ulp/pp/ppbuQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:/u/b/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred);/liliMinimum one (1) year of related work experience performing general cleaning tasks; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job./liliValid Florida driver's license./liliPass training in Bloodborne pathogens, CPR, and Bleeding Control Basics./liliKnowledge of general custodial responsibilities and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment./liliSkill in safely and competently using custodial equipment and tools./liliSkill in working with Microsoft Office and Windows based applications./liliAbility to be flexible, use initiative, be efficient, work independently as well as with others, and be self-motivated./liliAbility to take direction and deal with constructive criticism./li/ulp/pp/ppbuPHYSICAL DEMANDS:/u/b/ppThis position classifies the physical exertion requirements as medium work involving lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
