The position is tasked with covering other positions as needed, performing specialty area work and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Duties may include: Perform basic cleaning, sanitization and trash collection in and around residences halls and university buildings Ensure that assigned areas remain organized Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies Notify occupants of cleaning and floor maintenance schedules Maintain clean and clear walkways, ensuring they are free of debris, litter, snow and ice Respond to emergencies and assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service Communicate equipment/supplies problems and necessary building repairs to supervisors Ensure that all assigned rooms and buildings are opened and locked as scheduled Train new employees Other duties as assigned Required Experience: One year performing custodial duties, including working with industrial cleaning chemicals and heavy-duty cleaning equipment Required Education: None Required Other: Possess a valid driver's license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university-owned vehicles Be at least 18 years of age Additional Preferred: Experience training, supervising or directing the work of others Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Must be able to: Climb ladders, bend and stoop Lift, carry or otherwise move items weighing up to 50 pounds Stand and walk continuously throughout the workday Work in inclement weather conditions Degree Requirement: Listed degree qualification is required at time of application FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employee Category: Classified Pay Range: Commensurate with experience Type of Appointment: _of_Appointment FTE: 1 Full Time/Part Time: Full Time Funding: A visa sponsorship is available for the position listed in this vacancy: Uncertain Posting Date: 07/11/2025 Closing Date: Open Until Filled: Yes Special Instructions to Applicants: Internal Search Only.
