We are seeking a great Line Cook to join our GATES team who shows up on time, communicates with fellow team members and takes pride in their work. This job involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, contributing to the creation of delicious meals, and ensuring that all food handling practices meet our high standards.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas.
Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or dietary department is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling techniques and food safety regulations is essential.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
