School custodian & Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness in both commercial and residential settings.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
Buff and maintain floors to ensure they are clean and presentable.
Conduct thorough custodial duties in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall operations.
Handle industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively.
Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning schedules are met.
Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies as they arise.
Requirements

Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred.
Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance.
Familiarity with custodial equipment and cleaning supplies.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving equipment or supplies.
A proactive approach to identifying areas needing attention or improvement.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
