Onggi is an upscale casual Korean restaurant located in the vibrant Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC . Our 2,000-square-foot space accommodates 60 seats , offering an intimate yet inviting dining experience. Currently in our soft opening phase , we will officially open our doors on April 1, 2025 .

Inspired by a deep passion for sharing the rich flavors and traditions of Korean cuisine , we strive to create a space where both the local community and visitors can gather to enjoy thoughtfully prepared, authentic dishes. Our goal is to capture the warmth and essence of traditional Korean dining while providing a refined yet welcoming experience.

About the Role: We are looking for personable and dedicated Hosts to join our team at Onggi. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring a smooth flow of service . Your enthusiasm for hospitality and strong communication skills will help create a positive and memorable experience for every guest.

• At least 1 year of hosting experience (upscale or fine dining environment preferred).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with the front-of-house team.
• Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods during service.
• Flexible availability , including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• A supportive, team-oriented work environment .
