Were proud to launch our very own Parachute Coffeein partnership with Linea. Our coffee program is powered by a state-of-the-art Modbar setup, designed for precision and seamless workflow. In addition to espresso and brewed coffee, we also offer a thoughtfully crafted menu featuring ceremonial-grade matcha and house-made masala chai.
Job Overview
Parachute is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic barista to join our opening team at the Ferry Building. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about coffee, hospitality, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
As a barista at Parachute, youll be expected to deliver consistently excellent beveragesfrom espresso and batch brew to matcha and chaiwhile engaging customers with warmth and professionalism. Operating the POS system is a must, and experience with Modbar or similar espresso equipment is a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
Welcome customers enthusiastically and with radical hospitality, providing friendly and respectful service.
Have exceptional knowledge of our coffee and beverage menu, offerings and company mission.
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso drinks and batch brew coffee, matcha and chai by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques
Operate POS system is a MUST.
Unload/load, stock, and replenish coffee and brewing supplies and keep retail shelves stocked and full.
Keep equipment operational, maintain supplies, and perform preventive maintenance
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the cafe and coffee bar, and a safe, clean, and sanitary environment
Support your team, customers, and vendors with joy-filled enthusiasm
End of shift clean up, closing down the store and resetting for the next day.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Seeking long-term employment
Positive, outgoing attitude
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and operate with a sense of urgency
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to stand 8 hours in an 8-hour workday
A minimum of 1 year of prior barista experience is a MUST with the ability to dial in and create latte art
Be able to work in a highly physical environment.
